Junior Trainer & Roastery Support

Hello. We’re the roasting party

We’ve got Aussie roots, and a simple mantra: good coffee shouldn’t be complicated, and it definitely shouldn’t be pretentious. We roast specialty coffee but want to make it simple and fun for everyone, which is why we do things a little differently. We’re looking for someone to join our team in a hybrid role as Junior Trainer & Roastery Support. If you’ve got solid barista experience and are ready to get more involved in training and behind-the-scenes operations, this could be for you.

What You’ll Do • Assist and lead the RP Training Program for our wholesale partners, helping baristas grow their confidence and skills • Support and deliver our Home Brewing workshops for enthusiastic consumers • Maintain a clean, well-organized Training Academy that’s always ready to inspire learning • Collaborate with the Roastery team — helping out in service, packing, and production as needed • Hand-deliver coffee orders to our local wholesale customers, offering a friendly face and building stronger relationships • Join our Account Managers on café visits to build relationships, check coffee quality, and promote the RP training offering • Represent RP at local throwdowns, cuppings, and coffee events — and help build our presence in the local coffee community • Be open to getting involved in national competitions — whether that’s judging, volunteering, or even competing yourself

What We’re Looking For • Barista experience and a real passion for specialty coffee • A love for people — you genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow • A desire to share knowledge, inspire confidence, and support learning • Enthusiasm for local events and competitions — whether as a competitor, judge, or just a cheerleader • A flexible, can-do attitude — ready to jump between roles, whether training, packing, or delivering • Strong communication skills and a team player mindset • Full UK driving license (essential — you’ll be out and about!)

Nice to Have (but don’t worry, not essential) • Previous experience leading training or mentoring • Interest in SCA certifications, UKBC, Coffee masters, Brewers Cup, or Latte Art comps • Familiarity with equipment calibration and maintenance • Comfort working in fast-paced production or logistics environments

What’s In It For You • A fun, tight-knit team that keeps things dynamic, supportive, and never boring • All the coffee you could ever want — both at work and to take home • Private health insurance and wellbeing perks to keep you feeling your best • Cycle to Work scheme for eco-friendly commuting • 28 days holiday a year (including bank hols), so there’s plenty of time to rest and recharge • Loads of chances to learn, grow, and get stuck into the wider coffee community • A place where your passion for people, coffee, and good vibes really matters
