About BabaBake: We’re launching a fresh, exciting café concept in Aldgate – combining artisan pastries, fresh salads, juices, and exceptional specialty coffee. At the heart of it all? Quality, creativity, and community.
We’re looking for a Head Barista who’s passionate about coffee, thrives in leadership, and wants to shape the success of our brand-new store.
💼 The Role
As our Head Barista, you’ll be the coffee leader and day-to-day operations expert, responsible for: • Operating and maintaining high-end equipment including: • La Marzocco KB90 3-Group • Mahlkönig E65S GBW • Puqpress M3 • Training and managing the barista team to deliver top-tier service and consistent coffee quality • Engaging customers and showcasing your skills behind the bar • Leading recipe development and creating new, seasonal drink ideas • Assisting with daily operations: stock control, ordering, scheduling, cleanliness • Supporting management with hiring and growing a strong team culture • Ensuring machinery is cleaned, maintained, and performing at its best Healthy & Safety Training team members Creating unique drinks to add to menu

✅ What We’re Looking For • Proven experience as a senior or head barista in a specialty coffee environment • Expert knowledge of espresso recipes, dial-ins, latte art, and machine maintenance • Confident leader who can train, inspire, and support others • Passion for innovation – from new drinks to improving workflows • Strong sense of responsibility and pride in your craft • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills
